Ballarat Gold Swimming Club Annual Awards

Ballarat Gold Swimming Club was first started in 1998 by Peter Pay. Since this time the Club has steadily grown and prospered due to the hard work of the Committee and the Coaching staff. In 2007 the Club Champion Awards were first commenced. The Junior Club Champion Perpetual Trophy is named after Pam Toom, Pam is the Clubs longest serving member and in 2011 was made a Life Member. The Club Champion Award was named after Peter Pay, the Club Founder.

With the introduction of North Ballarat as a sponsor, the committee was compelled to review the club awards resulting in changes to the awards and their criteria.

The Best Clubman Award recognises both a senior and junior swimmer who goes above and beyond, when they show considerable kindness, are inclusive to all, and step up into volunteering or leadership roles that make a difference. If you notice a Ballarat Gold swimmer going ‘above and beyond’, please help the Committee recognise this person by completing our Compliments Form.
