The State Sprint Prelims saw a team of 30 Ballarat Gold swimmers compete across a total of 108 events, swimming 53 new personal best times and qualifying for 21 Finals swims on the Sunday.
The day was full of surprises, starting with a broken lane rope in the morning session and an extended fire alarm break after lunch. It didn’t stop the athletes from turning up the heat both in and out of the pool.
With too much action to mention in a single post we say a huge congratulations to Isla, Skye, Jack, Dayne, Emmerson, James, Maddie, Ed, Ava, Will, Zoe, Amelia, Oliver, Sophia for all qualifying for tomorrows finals.
