Backstroke Ledges will be used for this competition. Their use is optional at the discretion of each swimmer. If a swimmer does not wish to use the ledge, they should ask the official (or timekeeper) to remove the ledge from the water prior to the start of the race. We ask for the assistance of timekeepers and technical officials to assist with using the Ledges. Instructions are included in the Meet Program and can also be downloaded from our website.
Pooldeck safety Ballarat Gold Swimming Club requests that pooldeck remains clear at all times, for the safety of Technical Officials, and to allow them to operate effectively. Attendees should not be standing on pool deck, with the exception of swimmers receiving feedback from their Coach. Please remain seated as much as possible and be aware that those around you also wish to have a good view of the pool. Thank you for being courteous and considerate.
Pop-up Shops We are pleased to announce that you will be able to purchase all your swimming gear and accessories for the upcoming Long Course Season from our 2 pop-up shops brought to you by Swim-Merch and Jolyn Swimwear and Clothing Co. You will find them in the Courtyard (see venue map in Meet Program)
Coffee and Hot Drinks brought to you by Spinner Kitchen (also in the Courtyard).
Ballarat Gold Sausage Sizzle – sausages and cold drinks at affordable prices (also in the Courtyard). Thanks to Coles Ballarat Central for their generous donation of supplies.
COVIDSafe All attendees are responsible for keeping 1.5m between yourself and others (where possible) and adhering to the venue flow, particularly in areas of one-way traffic. If you are feeling sick or have symptoms of COVID-19, DO NOT attend this event. It is for the safety of all those in the swimming community.
Many thanks.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre this Sunday. Don’t forget a warm coat for outside and shorts for while you are in the pool area.
